Composite veneers last an average of 5 – 7 years. The lifespan of your veneer will depend on your lifestyle choices and your oral hygiene routine.
Composite Bonding
Composite veneers, also known as composite bonding, are a great alternative to traditional porcelain veneer treatment that produces similar natural-looking and durable results. Whilst composite veneers are primarily considered to be a cosmetic treatment, they can also repair minor chips and cracks, which will strengthen your tooth against damage in the future.
All our cosmetic dentists are highly experienced at ensuring that your smile has its own unique details, and we help you design it.
Composite Veneers are a conservative treatment that preserves almost all of your natural tooth structure. It can be performed in just one appointment, often in only a little longer than an hour.
Our team will initially undergo a smile design process with you, whereby we will understand exactly how you would like your smile to look, taking into consideration your facial features. Using a combination of digital scans, impressions, study models and smile computer technology, we will then show you how your smile will look. Only once you are 100% happy with how your smile will look will we then move on to the treatment phase.
During the treatment phase, the team will prepare your tooth by cleaning it, after which an etching gel is used to roughen the surface. Depending on the desired result, the resins are either painted on in liquid form or applied in gradual layers. They are then shaped and sculpted. We will cure the resins with a UV light, which will harden them in place. The tooth is then polished to give it the unmistakable shine and finish of real tooth enamel.
For treatments over £1,000, we offer flexible financing options, including interest-free plans for 6, 12, or 18 months, and interest-bearing plans for 24, 36, 48, or 60 months. Use our finance calculator below to to calculate your rate.

You will need to meet the following criteria prior to having composite veneers:
Yes. We can perform a full smile makeover with composite veneers, improving the shape, contour and shade of multiple individual teeth. We will use digital planning technology to ascertain how to shape and contour each individual tooth to achieve a uniform and symmetrical result.
If you are having a single tooth treated, we recommend matching this to your natural tooth shade unless you wish to have teeth whitening treatment at a later date. In this case, you will need to have your teeth whitened prior to getting a veneer. This is because composite resin does not respond to the effects of whitening gel.
If you are having all your front top and bottom teeth treated, we will show you a variety of different tooth shades so you can select which you feel would best suit your smile. Some patients may prefer the ‘Hollywood’ look of a white and bright smile, whilst others might wish to opt for a more natural tooth shade. We will listen closely to your expectations of treatment and deliver the fantastic result you expect.
Porcelain is superior to resin in its capacity to imitate tooth enamel and is the more durable material of the two. We tend to recommend composite veneers as an introductory treatment to patients who haven’t had veneers before, as more natural tooth structure needs to be removed. They are also more appropriate if a tooth is moderately affected by cosmetic damage, as opposed to mildly affected.
Porcelain veneers also do not stain like composite veneers, and on average, a well-made and looked-after porcelain veneer can last 12-15 years.
The composite veneer process is quick and simple. Your dentist will clean your teeth and apply a gel to roughen its surface, which allows for a strong bond. The resin material is then painted onto the tooth or teeth in liquid form or as putty and then carefully sculpted in place. Meanwhile, a curing light is used to harden the resin. Once a natural-looking shape and dimensions have been achieved, a special light is used to give that beautiful and unmistakable shine to the tooth.
